There's no way I could handle the bell ringing every week. I'm annoyed that I have to listen to people cough all fucking day. Half the time, I wanna punch this person in the throat and say something snotty like, "Aren't you tired of coughing? Because I'm tired of hearing you cough. 8 hrs a day. 40 hrs a week." I can only imagine how I'd feel listening to those damn bells. LOL

I just want to say how much I appreciate sharing this part of your life. I had a similar upbringing as you (single parent, only child). My mom is still alive but she's at an age where I can't deny or deflect thinking of the time when she won't be here. I'm trying not to take people and things for granted, and reading about how you're navigating through this time in your life is helping me do this.

I'm also finding things in my life come full-circle. For example, when people ask me about what made me such a big Go-Go's fan, I always said it was because of their music, but couldn't articulate why them over all the other bands I consider myself to be a fan. I knew there was more to it, but not what "it" was. Maybe getting here was the the reason all along.

Sending you a hug. Will be in UK this year, so if making a new friend (well, the husband would be with me as well, but he's cool) would make you smile, I'm yer gal. Regardless (as I know I am a rando here), hoping things get easier and easier for you. xx

Hi Kathy!

You have traveled more in a month than I have in ten years! Congratulations on another Hall of Fame!

Love that your grandad played bass. Have you ever tried playing Upright bass? I can picture you with a cool pin striped suit and fedora plucking away!

Hope you get settled and I look forward to your next installment!

Amy

Congrats on the California HOF induction, so well deserved for you & the band! I relate to so much of what you wrote. My mom is British (from Watford, I've been to St Albans Cathedral, my uncle lives in Shaftesbury). I love visiting the UK, I hope you have a great time living there, it does sound daunting at first but I'm sure you'll 'get it sorted' as they say on the Tube.

I also relate to sobriety (11 months) & proving my intrinsic worth to myself after surviving a tough upbringing. I'm inspired by your continuous journey of growth and exploration!

Ah, I had no idea your band hasn't gotten to hang together in a while, Kathy! Enjoy! I'll hope to get to treat you to great food and share conversation when you've a moment!

What a fun, new adventure for you across the pond! The area where you are living is beautiful! It is difficult becoming accustomed to how different things are in other countries. I was only in England one week but still had difficulty finding items in supermarkets and chemists because of the differences in terminology.

Congratulations on the California HOF Induction! Looking forward to hearing all about it!

I hope you are able to find a POI with whom you can develop a relationship....if that is what you want. 🙂

You’re still getting settled and adapting. Any living thing that’s been uprooted and replanted in new soil of sorts needs a bit of time for things to take hold and draw life in. And when it’s time, go ring the bells.

With the Walnut kitty litter look for any allergic reactions ...

"nut allergies" do apply to cats as well 🤧.

While in Cali you should pick up some MEOWajauna for your kitties..AKA Catnip (bag, or container ) 😃. ..Or get catnip seeds so you can grow your own in England.

Congratulations on another GoGo milestone 🤩!

*Zap, Pow, Bam* Kathy, your Batman comment made me think of the "Unfrogiven" video 💥🤛 .. I was listening to "God Bless The GoGos" 🥰 yesterday on You Tube!

Safe travels ...

I will be tuned into your next read-

"Same Kat time Same Kat Channel"

👍🤗💛

I laughed so much when you mentioned the looks on Gingerman and Rocky's face at the sound of the bells.🙀 That would take some getting adjusted to. You will find some friends soon - you are too much fun not to. Thanks for your updates! Look forward to photos. 🕊💙📚🎶
