What inspired writing, music and video you have shared with us. i keep eyeing that founding member button... I look forward to hearing more from you, KV.
Your tune with Zach sounds GREAT with your layered, immaculate background vocals.
I've always been a background sound person... lately a little less for some reason. Maybe it's the same reason I feel like I'd like to live to 100... something I've never really thought about or desired. So much good to try and do in this world. And good can be an endless amount of "good" things. xjim
Very groovy - love it! My therapist said that I need to move from my left brain of working my day job and side hustle (university instructor), to my right brain every night before bed, at least 10 minutes. I've been slacking going to my right brain by taking my edible and going to sleep. now i gotta figure out when i can book a flight at atx and see hoh. you challenged me, now i gotta make it happen.
I definitely appreciate you doing these posts, as busy as you are. I'm finding myself lagging behind one things that I find enjoyable such as reading these, doing my music, and other stuff that I just enjoy or find relaxing because of this new job I have. By the time I come home because I work evenings I'm so exhausted I go right to bed and sleep most of the day. I'm too old for working a 40 hour week job lol. Liking the new music and I'll definitely check out that four score, maybe it'll help me with the writing process
Hi Heather, thank you for finding time to read here! I don't think you'll find much help with For Score for writing. It is a program to put sheet music into and keep organized!
When I feel this way I focus on first principles of recovery. Faith in a power greater than myself and that it wouldn't give me more than I could handle. Remembering nothing is more important than my peace of mind. Being of service to others. And most importantly, that this moment is temporary, and that "to won't happen that way." (mind you, the things I'm juggling are less consequential). I appreciate your honesty and openness.
A great read! You describing the seamless transitions and driving metaphor made me think that we just keep the car rolling down along the road…. The fact is the car is aging, needs servicing more frequently and has unexpected repairs at times … and the get up and go it once had, well, is tired! Lol! …with 2 drivers in this life, one is on top of the repairs to make sure we reach all the destinations bc that’s what matters and I’m just worried about how expensive these repairs will be! Anyway that’s what your fab writing started in my brain! Thanks for the creativity!
I teach KINDERGARTEN - 8th grade! During WOMENS HISTORY MONTH! My lesson was on KATHY VALENTINE.I sent you the presentation along with my students playing your missing!
…and suddenly I’m thinking of the episode of Gomer Pyle where another sergeant bets Carter that he can’t go for an entire week without yelling. After a few days Gomer has him so wound up that he gets in his jeep and drives way out into the woods and starts SCREAMING.
Kathy thank you for sharing. Quick question if you read this . I watched the documentary about the “go gos “ ? What happened to broadway show was it a casualty of the pandemic ? I wish you all success with this latest project.
The Broadway show had a successful run for 6 months. It wasn't a big hit, but the people who loved it really loved it. We are all very proud of it. And I am going to be onstage, playing in the band and serving as musical director for the Austin production starting August 12 through Sept 10--and I think it's going to be really cool!!
Kathy! Thank you so much for sharing and giving a glimpse into your world. I grew up listening to your music since I was 10! It feels like I can connect now as an adult to a life long friend or pen pal in some sorts. You’re a busy woman! June is overwhelmingly busy for me as a teacher! Time for self care is good. I’m so very happy about your position as music director! I saw the play in NYC twice and love it! Hugs Kathy! XX
I feel in good company reading this! Thank you Kathy!!
so, I've finally caught up!
that was fun, enriching & rewarding.

You can Google it, I don't recall much. It's available in Germany, Ireland, England for sure. Something to do with a mild shock!
